Some Machines not updating defs

My machine is not picking up any new defs since we added LUA server for SEPM, my colleague is fine. looking at troubleshooting we have identicle settings aprt from he sees the server fqdn and I see the server IP. I can see on SEPM console that I am connected and it can even see my user details. On Virus defs it shows Not Available, we have some small number of users also effected and we all seem to be using the same policy etc but again they have the SEPM IP and not FQDN. The Ip hasn't changed and no issues with DNS. i try clicking the fix button and try sending an update from the console but neirther seem to work.
