I need a solution

Hi Symantec,

I'm currently attempting to remote push the latest client package 12.1.671.4971 to some servers with 12.1.5 RU5 and older installed.

The deployment succeeds from the SEPM console, and the files appear on the target server under "C:\temp\Clt-Inst"

After checking the logs, the following error is reported:

==========================================================================================================

MSI (s) (8C:AC) [15:56:50:675]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Adding NEWERFOUND property. Its value is '{A5DCF955-5D4A-471D-8CB3-DCFDF5C5DEE7}'.
MSI (s) (8C:AC) [15:56:50:676]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Adding AMBERPLUSFOUND property. Its value is '{A5DCF955-5D4A-471D-8CB3-DCFDF5C5DEE7}'.
MSI (s) (8C:AC) [15:56:50:677]: Doing action: DowngradeError
Action ended 15:56:50: FindRelatedProducts. Return value 1.
Action start 15:56:50: DowngradeError.

=========================================================================================================

I also get this error when attempting to install manually. The workaround requires multiple reboots to complete, as it requires one to remove the previous version and another to apply the installation of 12.1.6

I would really like to find the correct fix for this issue so I can remote push multiple client installations out to my environment.
