I was prompted by windows to remove SEP when upgrading to Win10. So I did so not thinking it would cause such a problem, perfomed the upgrade then a clean install. So now I have a clean installation of Win10, when I tried to re-install SEP 12.1.6 the Win10 machine goes thru the motions but under programs SEP is not listed. The Symantec Manager says it installed but shows a white square with yellow arrow pointing down and a small red x in the upper right hand corner. My understanding was Win10 was compatible with SEP 12.1.6. This is becoming a large hassle I have 30 machines to get up and running the A/V should be the last thing causing problems. Any guidance at this point would be helpful.
I have attempted to install in ALL compatibility modes. Nada. removed the file that did install and removed the endpoint from SEP manager. Then attemped a reinstall as a Domain Admin, System Admin and even a Simple Domain User. Nada. This is Poor compatibilty our license agreement will end soon. I think we will in fact be heading in another direction.
