How to exclude application from antivirus scanning in SEPM12.1.6

Version SEPM 12.1.6

How to exclude Transport.exe from the antivirus scanning and Auto-Protect ?

As advise by vendor, we need to exclude Transport.exe from the antivirus scanning and Auto-Protect.

Please refer to the attached picture, do I have to

1. add transport.exe with Exception Type"Application to Monitor" and Action "Log onlly" 

2. then after the application is detected, add the related "File Fingerprint " item again, and select Action "ignore"?

Do I have to keep this two items? Or after adding item 2,shall I remove item 1 transport.exe with Exception Type"Application to Monitor" and Action "Log onlly" ?
