Client Versions with Autoupgrade

I want to enable autoupgrade but am confused on a couple points. Lets say a container holds x32 and x64 bit systems--if I put a x32bit package and a x64 bit package, will it know to upgrade the system with the correct package? e.g. a 32 bit system will load the 32 bit installation SEP client package?
