I installed the 14.0.1904 client on a 2012 R2 server. After rebooting, the server is unable to browse any network shares on other hosts, both Windows and Linux.
This is a file server, and users workstations are still able to connect to file shares on this server.
I've tried disabling the SEP client, disabling network and host exploit mitigation, and even tried creating a firewall policy with a single allow * rule, but the problem persists.
The Symantec diagnostic tool reports that the client can't communicate with the management server (error:HTTPS failure) but the client logs show policies are updated when pulled via Liveupdate, and the status shows green.
I think the install is borked and plan to uninstall during an outage tonight unless someone has a better idea?
Cheers
