SEP 12.1.6 - Large Windows File servers - Resumable Scans

Hi,

    We have three large file servers (around 6TB each) using DFSR.   Currently their Weekly scans are disabled.  I need to reenable these scans.

I  have been reading lots about best practise over the last few days and I have found some threads about Resumable scans however the Tech note on how to set them up seems to be gone??  (TECH101386) 

Do I still need to set up the scans locally on the three servers?  And also do some registry changes to enable resumable scans?

I am thinking of creating manual resumable scans on these boxs and only let them run Friday night - Monday morning..
