I was not the one to originally set up SEPM at my current organization, so I'm coming in behind the last guy and trying to optimize it a bit. It appears he tried to configure GUPs but I'm pretty sure they are not set up right. I'm new to Symantec so I'm having a little trouble grasping it.
In SEPM, there's a group that contains all the computers that need to be used as GUPs. There is another folder for each branch(subnet) which has its own LU policy. I've read through some KB articles but I don't think it's clicking for me yet. How do I go about setting up the clients in one folder to each act as a GUP for the clients in the appropriate branch folder?
Do I need an LU policy applied to that folder that uses "Multiple Group Update Providers" to define each one as a GUP by hostname or IP? If so, then how do I set up the branch folders to use the appropriate GUP?
